Therefore many of the Jews who had come to visit Mary, and had seen what Jesus did, put their faith in him.

Then the chief priests and the Pharisees called a meeting of the Sanhedrin. "What are we accomplishing?" they asked. "Here is this man performing many miraculous signs.

So from that day on they plotted to take his life.

Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead.
He showed that Jesus is the Lord of life who raises the dead.
Many of the Jews who saw what Jesus did believed in Jesus.
However, the high priests and Pharisees heard what Jesus did, who raised the dead, and tried to kill Jesus in order to maintain their glory, position, and power.

When Abraham gave Isaac to God, he believed in Almighty God, who would raise Isaac from the dead (Hebrews 11:19).

Abraham believed that God raises the dead and calls what does not exist as if it exists. (Romans 4:17)

Since Jesus raised the dead, He is the God and Christ who exercise the power of God.
If Abraham had seen Jesus raising the dead, he would have believed.
Jesus also said that Abraham's descendants will do what Abraham did and believe in Jesus who told the truth that they heard from God. (John 8:39~40)

But the high priests and the Pharisees did not do what Abraham did.
They were not God's children, they were not the children of Abraham's promise, they were the children of the devil who walked according to the devil's greed. (John 8:44)

Jesus gathers the scattered children of God and makes them one. (Verse 52)
I pray thanks for the grace that made me live as a child of God who believes in God who raises the dead and Jesus who rises from the dead.

I pray that I will trust in the Lord and live according to the Word by faith in Jesus, who is my Lord who gives life and gives life even in a life like dead.

We must pray with faith in Jesus who brings us back to life even in areas that seem to be dying in our lives.
