Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies;

and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?"

I knew that you always hear me, but I said this for the benefit of the people standing here, that they may believe that you sent me."


Jesus raised Lazarus to life in 4 days.
Four days after a person's death is a time when the body is completely decayed and disappears, and he saved Lazarus, who died four days later, in order to make people believe.

Since Jesus is the resurrection and the life, those who believe in Jesus will live even if they die, and those who live and believe in Jesus will not die forever.

Martha gave an almost correct answer (?) to Jesus' words as to whether to believe this.
If Jesus was here, his brother and sister Lazarus would not have died. (Verse 21)
I know that God will give what the Lord asks. (Verse 22)
We know that Lazarus will live again at the resurrection on the last day (v. 24).
Jesus replied that I believe that the Lord is the Christ and the Son of God (verse 27).
Martha answered well.

However, she did not believe that in verse 39,  she would come back to life when Jesus told her to move the stone from Lazarus' tomb, it was the 4th day of Lazarus' death and smelled from him.

Jesus said that if you believe, you will see the glory of God. (Verse 40)

And he prayed thanks to God so that the crowd of Jews around him would believe in Jesus who was sent by God. (Verses 41-42)
Like Martha's case, those who believe in Jesus believe in Jesus and follow Jesus, believing that Jesus is the Son of God and my good Shepherd.

However, I pray what is lacking in saying that I believe in Jesus compared to the faith that Jesus wants.
When Jesus asks you to move the stone, you should not be confused because of lack of faith, but be a person who lives with confidence through faith in Jesus, who is the resurrection and life.
It will be a prayer of thanksgiving for the grace of Jesus and God's love for helping and building up my lack of faith.

Become a person who grows more in the life of faith in Jesus
Others pray for a life that reveals Jesus and glorifies God as someone who makes them believe that Jesus is the Christ sent by God.
