The obedience that Jesus, my Lord and God, the King, went to pay for the sins of all people on the cross that the most heinous sinner deserves.

Jesus, knowing all that was going to happen to him, went out and asked them, "Who is it you want?"

Jesus commanded Peter, "Put your sword away! Shall I not drink the cup the Father has given me?"







Looking at verses 3-4, Judas Iscariot came to Jesus with the army, the chief priests, and the Pharisees, with lamps, torches, and weapons at night, and Jesus went out to be captured by them.
To come to arrest someone with an army at night is to quickly catch a criminal who has committed a great treason or a great sin.
If that is Jesus, then everything seems so terribly wrong.
Jesus, who is the King, the Son of God, and the Christ, who has the authority to rule over all people, must judge those who will sin and pay the penalty for death. Rather, sinners come to arrest the King Jesus,
Jesus goes out to be crucified for the death row inmates.
To use an analogy, it would be similar to a judge who judged the death penalty in a place where death row inmates were gathered, and instead of them, to get all the death row prisoners alive, they were punished.
It would be ridiculous to do a play like this, but in reality, this happened and Jesus took on a physical body and obeyed Himself.
Jesus obeyed and went forth to drink the cup that his Father had given him.
(Verse 11)
God's love for saving all people and God's promise came to pass through Jesus' obedience.
To save all of us, each of us who, as sinners, will die in our own sins,
We thank our Heavenly Father for sending His one and only Son, Jesus, to take the punishment for all people, and to bestow the grace and love of forgiveness of sins.
Jesus obeyed and went out to drink the cup that Heavenly Father had given him.
Because only Jesus can pay the penalty for the sins of all people, He paid for it.
We must always be thankful and never forget that we were saved through the obedience of Jesus and the love of God.
And I pray that by sharing Jesus, the love and Son of God, other people will also believe in Jesus and be saved.
