"I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.

If you obey my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have obeyed my Father's commands and remain in his love.

My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.




Jesus said, "Remain in me, and I will remain in you." (Verse 4)
In that sense, Jesus is the vine and we are compared to the branches.
And he said that the branches attached to the vine bear fruit.
When the branch is attached to the vine, it receives nutrients and grows and can bear fruit called grapes.
Branches that fall off the vine either wither or die or are used as firewood.
I pray that I will be a resident in Jesus.
Those who abide in Jesus are those who keep the commandments and words of Jesus.
(verse 10)
Because Jesus also kept the commandments of God the Father and abide in God's love.

The commandment of Jesus is to love one another as Jesus loved us.
(Verse 12, John 13:34-35)
Those who do what Jesus commands are called friends.
Jesus, being Lord and Teacher, humbly washed the feet of his disciples, and the disciples were made clean.
(John 13:14)
Jesus loved all people and gave His life on the cross as the price for their sins so that everyone could be saved from sin and death.
Thank you for the grace of Jesus and the love of God for saving us from sin and death through faith in Jesus.
We hope that we will keep the new commandments of Jesus and live a fruitful life in Jesus by becoming a resident of Jesus.
We need to be those who love the Lord and come to know the Lord by doing the words of Jesus.
And other people believe in Jesus, preach Jesus so that they can be cleansed from sin and death, and pray for others to believe in Jesus.
